What people ask before signing up.
QWhy not just run Claude Code on my laptop?
Because your laptop closes, drops WiFi, runs out of battery, and can't be reached from your phone. Long-running tasks need a machine that stays up. Switching between devices needs a machine that's reachable from both. Deploying needs a public address. Your laptop has none of those.
QDo I need a Claude Pro or Max subscription?
Yes. We don't resell Claude — you bring your own account, we don't take a cut on top. If you'd rather pay per token, an Anthropic API key works too.
QHow does connecting my Claude account work?
One-time OAuth handoff during onboarding. Click a link, sign in on claude.ai, you're back. The token stays on your machine — same flow as setting up Claude Code on a new laptop, just done once.
QCan I SSH in?
Yes. Real machine, real root, your SSH key. Plain Ubuntu underneath with nginx, systemd, docker, git, gh, and neovim already installed. The browser terminal is for convenience, not a substitute.
QHow does deploying actually work?
Claude has the conventions baked in via a skill — it knows about nginx, the wildcard TLS cert that already covers your subdomain, the systemd patterns, and the helper command that wires everything up. You ask it to ship something; it ships. If you want to drop into the shell and run the helper yourself, that works too.
QCustom domains?
Yes. Point your domain at your machine, run a command, we issue the cert. CNAMEs work too.
QWhat happens to my work if I leave?
Standard Linux files in your home directory. SSH in and scp them out, or ask Claude to tar everything up. Nothing is trapped in a proprietary format.
QIs it private?
Your machine, your files, your processes. We don't read your sessions or the things Claude builds. Provisioning and health logs only.
QCan multiple people share a machine?
Not yet — one user per machine for now. Teams pricing is on the roadmap once the core experience is locked in.
